Summer Fellows Founded in 2008, the Georgetown Summer Fellows Program offers undergraduates with an opportunity to enhance their Georgetown experience by providing housing accommodations for 10 weeks while students work an unpaid summer internship in the DC area. In addition, the program sponsors activities throughout the summer, including networking opportunities with alumni, off-campus social events, service opportunities and professional development seminars. Students are expected to participate in the program for the full 10 weeks. The Lisa J. Raines Grand Challenge Fellowship (Raines) funds undergraduate students to conduct independent summer research projects engaging with an intractable “grand challenge” facing our society.
